Tiffany Montague is the manager of Google's space initiatives, which includes a long list of space related projects, least of which is the Google Lunar X PRIZE. Ms. Montague started her career in the space industry serving as an officer for the Air Force working at the National Reconnaissance Office. While at the Air Force, Pete Worden mentored Ms. Montague, a relationship that would later be rekindled. Google hired Ms. Montague as a project manager in the Engineering Group, seeing her use her "20 percent time" for space projects at the nearby NASA Ames Research Center. This 20 percent time slowly grew into a full time job coordinating Google's space projects. Ms. Montague hopes that, with Google being the cheerleaders for NASA, Space can be attacked like any other problem that Google attacks, making it simpler for the rest of us.
